- Get your gas appliances checked or serviced once a year, regarding gas fires, it is important that your chimney is swept regularly and smoke tested to ensure that all products of combustion are leaving your home.
- Install an audible, carbon monoxide alarm, this will alert you to the presence of the poisonous gas carbon monoxide, produced by unsafe gas appliances
